A magic power of music

To the most people, "LinKin Park" is just one of the rock-and-roll band that makes noisy music. However, as far as I'm concerned, it's not exactly a typical rock band as same as in the past. The six members: Chester, Mike, Rob, Brad, Joseph and Phoenix who come from different background have various opinions on music. Their songs, therefore, are presented in many kinds of styles. Such as heavey metal, hip-hop, electron music and so on.

In addition, the reason why I like "LinKin Park" is because it notices some important phenomenons that other music groups usually ignore. Recently, "LinKin Park" has been awaring of many vital issues of human beings, including global warming, poverty and starving, racial discrimination and some teenagers' problems in their lives.

The song "Numb" is a story which describes a teenager's ambivalence. The heavy beat from the drum and the sorrowful melody show a teenager's fragile spirit. Moreover, the lyrics of this song tell me that the young boy is eagerly finging a girl who he belongs to.

Last week, my grandmother was sent to the hospital. She then had an operation and recently stay in the intensive care unit. I hope she can be better soon :'-( ...

It's getting cold at school, everyone should take care about one's body!!

It's a big challenge to me, as I'm really bad at eurythmy.Nevertheless...I will do my best and keep learning it with other classmates.

B. What do you think of this performance?
At first, I think the three bluemen are kind of weird. They look terrified and shake their heads with the tempo at times. But, after analysing the content, I discover something meaningful. The bluemen seem to symbolize the earth while the three kinds of pipes represent different meanings. As people using all the resources at will, the earth is facing a big challenge. Both the factory chimneys and the tailpipes will cause a crisis in "Global Warming"! Therefore, as you can see... one of the bluemen who wears snorkeling mask attempt to find an exit to live on earth. Although the video is very innovative, the way they present is a little bit abstract. I hope they can be more direct.

Part II about global citizenship
A. In what ways do you think you are already a global citizen?
On the direct side, I live on earth, and enjoy the use of resources on this planet. Meanwhile, I obey the laws which were made to restrict to people's behaviors. On the indirect side, I absorb various economic events and cultures from different countries. All of them let me be a real global citizen.

B. How can you become a better global citizen?
As the issues of "Global Warming" & "Environmental Protection" cause a great sensation, I think I can do following things:
‧Take the mass transit as much as possible to reduce the air pollution.
‧Use my own tableware to protect both my health and the environment.
‧3R-Reduce Recycle Reuse to achieve the goal of resources protection.

**Everyone should do the best to protect the earth!**
